Cambridge Primary
After spending approximately three years in the pre-school section, the children now move into the Primary School, which covers Grades 1 to 5. They have been equipped with the basics of Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Art, and Craft Skills. With this foundational knowledge, they transition into Grade 1.
Now, the children feel they are growing up, having only one class teacher and about seven subjects to manage. They encounter various subject teachers, giving them a sense of maturity.
The subjects offered include English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspective, Computer Studies, Art, Singing, and Dancing, among others, aimed at making them well-rounded in their aptitudes.Class assemblies, conducted once a month by each class, provide an opportunity to showcase latent talents in Music, Song, Dance, and Drama. Being on stage enhances their personality development and boosts their confidence.
They also participate in an Inter-House Competitive arena during the annual Athletic Meet. "English Day" is an annual event that helps focus and develop their talents. Parents' Days are held once a term, allowing parents to connect with teachers and learn about their children's progress. If parents need to meet any teacher outside of Parents' Day, they can do so by making a prior appointment through the school office.
The Cambridge curriculum, introduced in UKG (Year 1), continues in the Primary section with an emphasis on English, Mathematics, and Science, alongside other concurrent subjects. In Grade 5 (Year 6), the children take their first International Examination, the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination. This prepares them for the transition to the next level, Lower Secondary.
