The founding principle behind Nakano College was to create a nurturing environment where children could receive education in the English Medium while being immersed in a modern educational setting at both the Primary and Secondary School Levels.
Our aim is not only to provide academic excellence but also to instill a sense of respect for Sri Lanka's rich cultural and religious heritage. We believe in preserving traditional values while embracing contemporary education methods. In addition to academic pursuits, our school places great emphasis on extracurricular activities, including sports, to ensure the holistic development and physical well-being of our students. We offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including swimming.

It is an honor and privilege to serve as your Principal and to have the opportunity to lead the school founded on Tradition, Education, and Excellence – pillars on which this esteemed institution is renowned for in society. Nakano College, being a well-reputed school in our country, was founded in 2005 and follows the Cambridge Curriculum from pre-school and Primary to O/Levels and the National curriculum from grade 6 to O/Levels. I am delighted that Nakano College, Bandaragama, is now registered as an Independent Cambridge International School, approved by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), where our students could register and appear for their Cambridge examinations in their own familiar school environment.
